Sweet: Windows Security Update CD
Microsoft is offering a single CD which contains the security fixes and patches of all Windows versions from Win98 through XP. Their goal is to address situations where newly installed machines were being infected by worms before the patches could be downloaded from their Windows Update site. Best of all, it's free if you don't mind forking over a telephone number and email address.
I'm often pretty hard on Microsoft, but I think this is a laudable move on their part.

Sweet: Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem
It was a long, arduous wait, but Daft Punk's "House Musical" has finally been released state-side. I picked it up a few weeks ago, but didn't have a chance to watch it until today. In a word: excellence.
I'm not a huge fan of manga or even anime in general, because in my experience there is a lot more bad than good out there. That said, I enjoyed Cowboy Bebop and was over-joyed by Interstella 5555. I was particularly intrigued by the ability of the animators to tell a very complete and engaging story while syncing it perfectly with the music and without the use of any dialog whatsoever.
Discovery is an amazing album and seeing this movie makes it an even more satisfying experience. Highly recommended.
